It was a disco inferno — and a tear-fest — Monday night (Oct. 11) on The Voice, when Bella Denapoli battled it out with Katie Rae.
The Team Ariana singers went full throttle with a performance of “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough),” the 1979 hit recorded by Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer.
You couldn’t have squeezed more energy from the rendition, and the coaches found it hard to separate them.
John Legend described the effort as a “powerhouse,” and Kelly Clarkson enthused, “That was so rad.” Both sided with Rae, while Blake Shelton leaned towards Denapoli.
Holding back tears, Ariana Grande had to make a difficult decision. “There’s nothing that either of you two can’t sing, and I feel privileged to work with you and to have spent this time with you.” And then, despite the song’s title, there were more tears.
Grande found her poise and named Katie Rae as the winner of this particular battle. Watch below.
