Today the City of Lancaster announced it is seeking nominations from the community for Lifetime Achievement Awards for individuals who have made a significant impact on Lancaster City’s Hispanic community. Awardees will be honored at the City’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Oct. 15.
“There are countless members of Lancaster’s Hispanic community that have shaped our city. As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, I look forward to highlighting the many ways that the Hispanic community has helped Lancaster City flourish,” said Mayor Danene Sorace.
“It’s an honor for me as the first Hispanic director of a City department, and also overseeing events for the City, to highlight the achievements of Hispanic leaders during this time of celebration,” said Milzy Carrasco, director of the Department of Neighborhood Engagement.
Nominations will be accepted online at cityoflancasterpa.com/hhm through noon on Sept. 16.
