The City of Lancaster Department of Public Works will perform a flushing of the extremities of the distribution system water main pipes to promote maximum water quality.
Flushing operations will begin on Monday, October 3. See below for a list of addresses to be flushed. Please note that these addresses are tentative and subject to change, and will be updated weekly – please bookmark this link so you can check back.
Flushing may cause customers to observe discolored water and a reduction in water pressure, but this occurrence should be temporary. If customers have any questions or concerns they can call the Water Quality Lab at (717) 291-4818, Monday – Friday 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. At all other times, please call the Water Emergency number at (717) 291-4816.
