Samsung is tapping into the star power of Todrick Hall to help promote its new foldable smartphone.
Samsung teamed up with the singer and social media star for a remix video of his breakthrough single, “Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels,” centered around the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 foldable smartphone. The reworked lyrics — “Flip, Fold, Snap, Clack” — are a tongue-in-cheek take on the new phone’s ability to flip up and fold down.
When unfolded, the Galaxy Z Flip3 reveals a dazzling 6.7-inch screen, that’s perfect for streaming, gaming and texting. But the full-sized smartphone can also fold down to just 4.2 inches, and is slim enough to even fit into your skinny jeans.
Shot by acclaimed video director Hannah Lux Davis (who also helmed Charli XCX’s latest campaign for Samsung’s Galaxy Buds2 wireless earbuds) the new spot follows Hall and his troupe of dancers as they weave the Z Flip3 phone in and out of colorful, candy-coated scenes and some intricate choreography (seriously, the “Flip, Fold, Snap, Clack” moves are just begging to become a TikTok dance). You can watch the video now on Samsung’s YouTube page and across the brand’s social media channels.
The Galaxy Z Flip3 is one of the latest smartphones from Samsung, who also released a promotional video for the phone over the summer, starring longtime brand ambassadors BTS. Set to the sounds of the group’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper, “Butter,” the BTS video for the Flip3 phone has already amassed more than five million views online.
Samsung also says pre-orders of the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 outpaced all total sales for Galaxy Z devices to date in 2021, making it the strongest pre-order for Samsung foldables ever.
