Harry Styles is warmly welcoming fans back to concerts during his Love On Tour arena run – even the ones that happen to be pop superstars on their own time. Halsey, a longtime fan of Styles, attended the “Fine Line” singer’s latest NYC show on Monday (Oct. 4) and received a personalized shoutout in commemoration of their recently born child with Alev Aydin, a screenwriter and producer.
The moment took place during “Kiwi,” one of the final songs on the show’s setlist and a fan favorite from Styles’ 2017 debut self-titled record. During the song’s explosive guitar-laden chorus, the original lyrics shout “I’m having your baby”; but with Halsey in attendance near center stage, Styles pointed directly at the 27-year-old singer and sang “You just had a baby.” He was, of course, referring to the singer’s child Ender Ridley Aydin, whom they and boyfriend Aydin welcomed into the world on July 14.
The If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power artist also posted brief glimpses of their Love On Tour concert experience on their Instagram Stories, first showing fans their view for the show and later sharing a cute selfie with a watermelon-shaped lollipop, an obvious nod to the One Direction member’s Hot 100 No. 1 single “Watermelon Sugar.”
Halsey’s longtime admiration for Harry Styles has been well-documented on the Internet. She cited Styles as a “dream collaborator” during a 2020 Vogue interview and even tweeted her excitement in 2019 for a Love On Tour date landing on her birthday before the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the tour to early fall 2021. And Styles has been comfortably at home on stage performing in front of fans again and welcoming them back to shows with his extensive United States arena tour in support of “Fine Line,” even offering specialized dating advice to a fan at a September show in St. Paul, Minn.
