Locally brewed beer, buttermilk-fried chicken tenders, and the requisite cheesesteak offerings are here for the Eagles’ 2021 season
If you can believe it, football season is here again. It seems like only yesterday that Citizens Bank Park was welcoming a full stadium’s worth of fans back to Phillies games, and yet, here we are, diving into everyone’s favorite chilly-weather sport. Going to the Linc to catch an Eagles game? Remember that masks are required in all indoor spaces at the stadium, though fans who are not vaccinated are strongly encouraged to wear masks at all times, except when eating or drinking. Speaking of eating and drinking, here are the Linc’s food and drink offerings for this season:
What’s New This Year
Love and Honey Fried Chicken, Section 108
The Northern Liberties fried chicken destination has its own stand at the Linc this year, serving buttermilk-fried chicken tenders, cornbread and honey butter, and housemade sauces to go alongside the whole meal. Note that if you try to get Love and Honey anywhere else but an Eagles game on game day, you’ll strike out: the staff is working every home game this season and staying closed on Front Street those days.
The Pierogie Place, Section 125
For fans craving potato and cheese, the Pierogie Place — with two locations down the shore in Wildwood and Ocean City — will provide a complement to cold beers in the form of hot pierogis. On the menu: potato and cheese pierogis with fried onions and sour cream.
Two Locals Brewing Company, Section 132
Two Locals Brewing
The first Black-owned brewery in Philadelphia — run by brothers Richard and Mengistu Koilor — will have an outpost at the stadium in Section 132. The brewers will be serving their Nubian American brown ale and their Prolific Hazy IPA, which will surely help wash down all those Chickie’s and Pete’s crab fries.
Philip’s Steaks, Section 101
It wouldn’t be an Eagles game without a cheesesteak (or any local event, for that matter), and fans from near and far can get a taste of that signature Philly flavor at Philip’s in Section 101. The West Passyunk outpost will be serving cheesesteaks Whiz wit, if that’s how you like them, and all the combinations in between.
Old Standbys
Chickie’s and Pete’s can be found at 21 locations around the stadium. Try the crab fries and their proprietary cheese sauce on the side.
Zac’s Hamburgers is in Section 110 for burgers with all the fixin’s
McNally’s Tavern in Headhouse Plaza will be serving the locally famous Schmitter sandwich — it will definitely warm you up during those freezing cold games.
Bassets BBQ in Headhouse Plaza has burgers, pulled pork, coleslaw, and more sides
Tony Luke’s in Section 112 will be serving roast pork sandwiches with sauteed broccoli rabe and sharp provolone, as well as classic cheesesteaks
Quick & Carmichael BBQ is in Section 134 for pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches
Fuku in Section 114 is serving David Chang’s famous fried chicken sandwiches
