Machine Gun Kelly was one of the 5.27 million viewers of Kim Kardashian’s Oct. 9 Saturday Night Live episode, and he was one of the very few who found himself parodied in the sketches.
In the skit titled “The People’s Kourt,” host Kardashian portrayed her sister Kourtney as a judge passing, well, judgment on her entire KarJenner clan, with the SNL cast members cosplaying as the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars. Pete Davidson and Chloe Fineman acted as MGK and his girlfriend Megan Fox in the skit. Dressed as the dream punk rock couple from their 2021 iHeart Radio Music Awards appearance, Davidson and Fineman portrayed their beautiful, dark, twisted romance in tongue-in-cheek fashion.
Fresh off his daredevil set at Austin City Limits, where MGK climbed the stage rig, he hopped on Twitter to share his thoughts about his friend Davidson’s performance as him. “I think it’s time for me to come on the show as Pete @nbcsnl,” the pop-punk rapper wrote Sunday. Kelly posted the highlighted portion of the sketch on his Instagram Story Monday, writing, “Pete you know damn well i don’t talk like that,” followed by crying-laughing emojis.
Davidson also FaceTimed Kelly beforehand, which the latter posted a screenshot of to his IG Story with the spot-on caption “twins.”
MGK made his debut as the SNL musical guest at the top of year, when he notoriously took a tumble off the stage while embracing and lifting up Davidson. Maybe it’s time for SNL boss Lorne Michaels to bring him back and grant his wish.
