Maneskin has had quite a year. The Italian rock outfit blew up at the Eurovision Song Contest back in May, where their entry “Zitti E Buoni” won the big prize, and many international fans.
Maneskin’s grinding, sexy attitude was a hit with the Brits. Their Eurovision number went to No. 17 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, then a history-making pair of songs cracked the Top 10, “I Wanna Be Your Slave” (at No. 5) and their cover of “Beggin’” (No. 6).
With that feat, the Romans became the first Italian act to have two Top 10s on the U.K. singles chart simultaneously.
For some perspective, not even Eurovision champions ABBA or Celine Dion have achieved two Top 10 singles in the same frame.
Maneskin had a U.S. breakthrough with “Beggin’” (originally originally popularized by the Four Seasons), which blasted to No. 1 on several Billboard charts, including the Emerging Artists, Alternative Airplay and Rock & Alternative Airplay surveys, and No. 22 on the Billboard Global 200 songs tally.
On Wednesday night (Oct. 26), Maneskin’s Damiano David (vocals), Victoria De Angelis (bass), Thomas Raggi (guitar) and Ethan Torchio (drummer) made their late-night U.S. TV debut, with a double-dose of “Beggin’” and “Mammamia” on The Tonight Show.
Maneskin’s big year rolls on.
