Today, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. made additional disaster assistance available to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico by authorizing an increase in the level of federal funding for Public Assistance projects undertaken in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as a result of Hurricane Fiona during the period of September 17 to September 21, 2022.
Under the President’s order today, the federal share for Public Assistance has been increased to 90 percent of total eligible costs, except assistance previously approved at 100 percent.
