The 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards are just around the corner, where Bad Bunny takes the lead as a 22-time finalist in 13 categories. He’s followed by Maluma with 11 nods, J Balvin with nine nods, and Karol G, Anuel AA and Black Eyed Peas with eight each.
One of the coveted awards of the night is hot Latin song of the year, which includes “Dakiti” (Bad Bunny & Jhay Cortez), “Ritmo (Bad Boys for Life)” (Black Eyed Peas & J Balvin), “Telepatia” (Kali Uchis), “Tusa” (Karol G & Nicki Minaj) and “Hawái” (Maluma & The Weeknd).
In celebration of the upcoming awards, Billboard put together the ultimate Billboard Latin Music Awards playlist, featuring all the 2021 finalist songs in the following categories: hot Latin song of the year; hot Latin song of the year, vocal event; airplay song of the year; sales song of the year; streaming song of the year; Latin pop song of the year; tropical song of the year; Regional Mexican song of the year; and Latin rhythm song of the year. The 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards — produced and broadcast live by Telemundo — will take place Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Fla., kicking off at 7 p.m. ET with the one-hour red carpet special “La Alfombra de Premios Billboard,” followed by the three-hour Billboard Latin Music Awards.
The special event will coincide with Billboard Latin Music Week, returning to Miami from Sept. 20 to 25. The weeklong event celebrates Latin music, culture and entertainment with exclusive performances, one-of-a-kind conversations, workshops, showcases, and on-the-ground consumer moments.
