Flying around the world with Kourtney Kardashian has been an uplifting experience for Travis Barker.
The Blink-182 drummer and his girlfriend recently shared details about their travels together, including a summer trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, which was Barker’s first flight since surviving a deadly 2008 plane crash that killed four people. Now, his flight count is rapidly rising.
“Flew 5 times in the last month,” Barker proudly tweeted Sunday afternoon (Sept. 12).
“ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE,” he added in another tweet, as until this year, it had been nearly 13 years since he got on a plane.
In an interview with Nylon published last week, Barker said his first flight in years, with Kardashian, was “the easiest ever” and he felt “awesome” after.
“It’s still something very new to me, but having something that gives me the strength and hope to be able to overcome things that were so traumatic in my life, it just says a ton,” Barker, who executive produced Machine Gun Kelly’s Billboard 200-topping album Tickets to My Downfall and more recently played on Willow’s “Transparent Soul,” said in the interview. “She’s definitely that for me. I’m invincible when I’m with her. It’s like I never dreamed, I never even considered flying again.”
He explained how he “made a deal with her that she had just said to me, ‘I would love to do so much traveling with you. I want to go to Italy with you. I want to go to Cabo with you. I want to go to Paris with you. I want to go to Bora Bora with you.’ And I said, ‘Well, when the day comes you want to fly, I’m telling you I’ll do it with you. I would do anything with you. And just give me 24 hours’ notice.’ And that’s what she did.”
The couple have since been documenting their romantic travels together on Instagram, showing off lovey-dovey snapshots from Italy and France, where they captured a special moment at the Eiffel Tower.
