TWICE is the latest K-pop act to try their hand at singing in another language. On Friday (Sept. 3), the girl group revealed the latest teaser for their first English-language single.
“TWICE’s 1st full English Single ‘The Feels,’” read their official announcement, which featured the group’s nine members in plaid and striped ensembles. “Release on 10.01_FRI , 0AM (EST) 1PM (KST).” TWICE also shared the announcement in a second tweet, which contained the first official concept poster of the girls’ upcoming song.
TWICE’s label, JYP Entertainment, shared a brief teaser of “The Feels” with a 11-second snippet from their “drop spoiler” video in late August. “Boy I, Boy I, Boy I know/ I know you’ve got the feels/ Boy I, Boy I, Boy I know/ I’m so curious,” the girls sing before the snippet cuts to the illustration of the song title, as well the release date and times.
Shortly after announcing the single, TWICE shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the video and cover shoot of members Nayeon and Chaeyoung hanging out on Instagram.
The upcoming release of “The Feels” comes less than three months after TWICE dropped their Taste of Love EP. The EP peaked at No. 6 and stayed on the Billboard 200 chart for three weeks. Taste of Love also enjoyed success on the Current Album Sales chart, where it peaked at No. 1 after its release and enjoyed six weeks on the chart.
