Adele is in deep rollout mode for her upcoming studio album after numerous “30” billboards popped up all over the world and she announced her upcoming single “Easy On Me.” Ahead of her new album cycle, Billboard wants to know: Which of her previous projects is your favorite?
Her debut studio album 19 starts off the numerical series and ushered in her career-first Billboard Hot 100 entry, “Chasing Pavements,” in 2009, which ended up peaking at No. 21. The song paved the way for Adele’s 15 Grammys (and counting), as it was nominated for both record and song of the year and ended up winning for best female pop vocal performance and secured the best new artist award for the then-20-year-old pop sensation.
Her subsequent albums 21 and 25 both landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and won Grammy Awards for album of the year and best pop vocal album. And her last record proved to be an unequivocal smash, when 25 became the top-selling album of 2015 with 3.38 million copies sold in its first week in the U.S.; that’s the biggest sales week of an album since MRC Data began tracking point-of-sale music purchases in 1991.
