The 2021 MTV Video Music Awards are coming up this weekend, and the star power of the performer lineup keeps growing stronger. But who are you most excited to see?
Doja Cat will pull double duty as the evening’s host, the first time in the show’s history that the host was also nominated for the video of the year award the same year, and as one of the performers. First-time performers Olivia Rodrigo and Machine Gun Kelly will respectively bring the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits “Good 4 U,” and “Papercuts” alongside presenter Travis Barker.
Chlöe of Chloe x Halle will perform her debut solo single “Have Mercy,” which will be released on Friday. The Foo Fighters, who will be presented with the first-ever global icon award, are also set to take the stage for the first time in 15 years.
The 2021 MTV VMAs is is set to air live on Sunday, Sept. 12, at 5 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on MTV, Paramount+, plus a number of streaming services that provide live television options, including Hulu + Live TV, fuboTV and Sling TV.
