As Young Thug’s Punk album enters at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, several of the set’s songs also arrive on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including one in the top 10.
Punk starts with 90,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 21, according to MRC Data. Like most hip-hop efforts, the project traces most of its initial activity to streaming. 77,500 of the 90,000 first-week units derive from the streaming sector, equal to 102 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs. 12,000 of the remaining units are from traditional album sales, while 500 come via purchased Punk song downloads. (One unit equals the following levels of consumption: one album sale, 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams for a song on the album.)
Thanks to the streaming figure, some Punk tracks land on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, led by “Bubbly,” with Drake and Travis Scott, at No. 7. The tune boasting the two superstars was the most-streamed Punk tune of the week, with 16.2 million U.S. streams, and begins at No. 5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart and at No. 8 on the corresponding all-genre list.
As “Bubbly” bursts onto the chart, it gives Young Thug his 11th career top 10 hit on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and fourth of 2021. It follows “Bad Boy,” with Juice WRLD (No. 9) in January, “Solid,” with Gunna and featuring Drake (No. 6) in May, and he and Future’s featured spots on Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy,” a two-week No. 1 in September.
Drake, meanwhile, adds a record-extending 97th top 10 to his account, while Travis Scott posts a 15th top 10 title.
Including “Bubbly,” eight Punk cuts make the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this week, pushing Young Thug to 93 charted hits. Here’s a full look at the new recruits:

Activity surrounding Punk and its songs causes Young Thug’s No. 5 re-entry – a new career peak – on the Billboard Artist 100, which ranks artist popularity through a blend of four music consumption metrics – album sales, track sales, radio airplay, streaming – and social media fan interaction. He scores fourth week in the chart’s top 10 and first since a No. 9 showing in May when the Young Thug-led album Young Stoner Life: Slime Language 2, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
